Tribute 1st March 2011

Maribel was a person with many qualities: affectionate, very sensitive, dedicated, and focused. As a nurse, she was the faithful collaborator; one that humanizes science. During her spare time she loved to read and listen to the music of her land. She was a sports fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox. She attended concerts with her friends as a way to relax a little from her duties as a nurse. When she was on vacations she liked traveling and seeing new places, but her favorite trips were when she returned to her beloved island Puerto Rico. Her best role in life was to be a great daughter. For this, she didn't need to attend School or a University; she was born this way. No one can deny the immense love she had for her mother and her dedication to her. Very loving with her siblings, nephews, and their children, it has been heartbreaking to see their faces and their expressions of grief on hearing of their loss. She was also the friend that everyone wanted to have. Today we honor your memory and recall with great pride the great woman that you were. A beautiful person is gone, leaving a great hole in our hearts that no one else can fill. We will miss your laugh and the kind words and support you had for the ones who needed it. If we could make a wish or a dream come true; we would ask God with all our heart for you to come back. Thousands of words are not going to bring you as we tried, neither will the million tears that we've cried. You leave behind some broken hearts but happy memories too, but memory is not what we wanted. We wanted you. We thank God for having brought you to our lives. Rest in Peace our beloved Maribel.
